There are numerous factors to consider when attempting to make your art gallery shine and attract attention. Instagram can be a powerful tool for marketing your art space, but it is important to use it in the right way. Learn how to make your art gallery stand out on Instagram.

Instagram is a great place to showcase your art gallery and make it stand out from the crowd. It provides a great opportunity to get your art gallery in front of a large audience and build an immense following. Let’s look at how to use Instagram to make your art gallery look special.

WHY USE INSTAGRAM FOR YOUR ART GALLERY?

Instagram provides a range of opportunities for art galleries:

You can share photos of your art gallery and its artwork with the world.

It helps to increase awareness of a specific location and attract new visitors to it.

It enables you to establish relationships with potential leads and partners.

By sharing photos of your artwork and behind-the-scenes footage of your gallery, you can create a connection with your audience that will encourage them to visit your gallery in person.

HOW TO MAKE YOUR ART GALLERY STAND OUT ON INSTAGRAM

To make your art gallery stand out on Instagram, you need to be creative and use the app’s features to your advantage. Here are a few tips:

USE A DISTINCT USERNAME AND PROFILE PICTURE

The first thing you should do when setting up your new account is to use a unique username and profile picture. It will help distinguish your account from others so that you can get the most out of our platform.

ADD A DESCRIPTION OF YOUR GALLERY AND ITS LOCATION

This information will allow people to see your physical address and where they can find you.

SHARE INTERESTING AND ENGAGING PICTURES OF YOUR ARTWORK

You have to be unique to stand out from the crowd. If you want to be successful at anything, you have to be different. When people look at your gallery’s artworks, they should reflect on them by feeling impressed or excited about what they are seeing. They should not think, “Oh, I have seen that before.” They should say, “I never thought I would see that again!”

DO NOT MAKE COMPARISONS TO OTHERS

It does not matter if someone else is doing something better than you. What matters is that you do something better than you did yesterday. There is no point in comparing yourself to other art galleries. Instead, focus on being the best location for visitors you can be.

USE HASHTAGS TO COVER WIDER AUDIENCE

A hashtag is a keyword or phrase preceded by the “#” symbol that is used in social media posts. Using hashtags will make your posts visible to those who are interested in topics similar to your posts. Your audience will no longer be limited to existing users. If you use the right hashtags, you can reach thousands of potential users, art fans, and even customers.

EXPLORE BEHIND THE SCENES

People love getting a peek behind the scenes. This is why reality TV is so popular, and Instagram is such a great platform for art galleries. So, how can you use Instagram to give your viewers a look at what goes on behind the scenes? Here are a few tips:

Share photos of your artists at work.

Showcase your art in progress.

Go behind the scenes at art installations and events.

Share snippets of your artists’ interviews.

Post short videos of your artists talking about their work.

USE INSTAGRAM ADS

Instagram Ads can be effective for art galleries trying to reach a larger audience. By targeting a specific audience, you can make sure your ads are seen by people who are interested in your art space. When creating Instagram Ads, make sure they are visually appealing and interesting and are linked to your website, so that people can easily visit your website if they want to learn more about your artwork.

LEARN AND STRIVE TO IMPROVE

If your art gallery is not getting any better, then you are probably not working hard enough on it. Follow other popular art galleries on Instagram to keep up with the latest trends. Also, you should always learn how to better use technology to promote your art space. Keep pushing yourself because the only way to get better is to keep trying.

BE PATIENT

Patience is essential for successful art space management on Instagram. You should not expect instant results after creating an Instagram profile.

HAVE FUN

You may be wondering how you can have fun while managing your Instagram art gallery. The thing is, when you have fun, you will be able to create great art-related content and develop your signature style of content presentation, both visual and written. So, make sure you are having fun with whatever you do.

WHAT KIND OF CONTENT TO POST ON INSTAGRAM FOR YOUR ART GALLERY?

hen using Instagram for your art gallery, it is important to post content that is interesting and engaging. It could include photos of the art installation process, shots of the artists at work, or pictures of the finished product. You can also post short videos of artists talking about their work or giving tours of the gallery.

It is also important to post regular updates. They will encourage people to keep coming back to your page. You can do this by sharing news about upcoming events, new artworks, or artist interviews.

HOW OFTEN TO POST ON INSTAGRAM FOR YOUR ART GALLERY?

As a rule, content on Instagram is posted once or twice a day. The need to post more or less often depends on your specific audience and the material.

HOW TO USE INSTAGRAM STORIES FOR YOUR ART GALLERY

If you want your art gallery to stand out from the rest, then you need to use Instagram stories. They will allow you to give your art gallery a personal touch. You can use stories to share images and videos of your artwork and as behind-the-scenes footage of your gallery. You can also use stories to announce upcoming exhibitions and events and to promote your artists.

HOW TO USE INSTAGRAM LIVE FOR YOUR ART GALLERY

Here is how to use Instagram Live to set your art gallery apart from the competition:

Plan and create a schedule for your live broadcasts. Setting a schedule will help your audience know when to tune in.

Use social media and your website to promote your live broadcasts. Make sure to include a link to your Instagram account.

Interact with your followers during the live broadcast. Answer their questions and respond to their comments.

Make sure that your live broadcasts are high quality. Use a good camera and microphone, and make sure that the lighting is good.

Broadcast regularly to keep your followers engaged.

CONCLUSION

Take the time to perfect your online art space and Instagram account management skills. No matter how difficult things seem at the very beginning, how many times you fail, or how little money you have to start, never give up your dream.

Being an artist means using your art to express your feelings. No matter what type of artist you are, social media is a good way to showcase your artistic abilities. If you are an artist who just started posting on social media platforms like Instagram and is intending to grow an art page on it, then there are a few things that you must keep in mind.

Initially, it may appear that success on Instagram is linked to the number of followers you have. But this isn’t completely true. Several Instagram art pages have thousands of followers, yet no likes, comments, or engagement on their posts. Likewise, they have zero business profit. That huge number of followers is just a façade, and nothing is interesting and motivating to its followers about it. Take your time to grow your page on Instagram.

If what you share is genuinely beautiful then the right followers will automatically come to you. To help you out in the process and make it simple, here are a few tips to grow an art page on Instagram.

Photo via Unsplash

Choose a niche

A niche and a relevant theme are very important when you wish to grow an art page on Instagram. Many people find this step trivial and believe whatever they post will be beautiful to attract followers. But this approach can attract a divergent audience which is not particularly desirable. What you want is the right audience — this way you know what they expect from you and you can deliver for those expectations. This will also happen when you have an appealing theme. Use the right colors, not too many, depending on the type of art you do. This will help them recognize your art easily anywhere on Instagram. You want to continually find a connection with your audience.

Develop a proper Instagram profile

Having a proper Instagram profile works like magic for growing an art page on Instagram. There are a few steps to do this properly.

Don’t choose a random user name:

The name of your page is your identity. It defines who you are and what you do. So, choose a name that suits your art. It should be striking and yet easy to remember. It can be your name or your tagline, either of which will give connection and relevance to what your audience sees and reinforce your brand at the same time.

A relevant profile picture matters:

Your profile picture should be such that people recognize who you are the minute they see it. Also, try to be a bit illustrative. Don’t keep it simple. It should reflect your style. Use something that appears in your artwork frequently.

Mention your full name:

If people find your artwork appealing, they’ll probably be interested in knowing more about you. They will likewise check your art page for your details. So don’t shy away from mentioning your full name in your Instagram profile if it isn’t already your user name. Let them know it’s you behind all those stunning art pieces.

Craft the right bio:

The 150 characters in the Instagram bio must reflect your personality. Focus on adding and mentioning yourself as an artist and what type of art you practice. You can use relevant emojis too.

Photo via Unsplash

Post consistently

Posting consistently on Instagram gets you where you want to be. Hence, the count of your daily posts is very important and should be consistent over the long run. It doesn’t necessarily mean that the number of posts made daily is directly linked to getting new followers. But at the same time, you should be determined to post regularly. Don’t forget to show variety in your posts, make them appealing. Try to post at least once or twice a day and throughout the week.

Follow fellow artists

There are thousands of other artists like you on Instagram. Each one of them has their own unique identity in terms of the artwork they do. What you can do is you can simply follow them and support them. Like their posts and comment on them. Let them know what you feel about their artworks. This will show them that you truly are an artist and not just a random admirer. Chances are their followers will be curious as to know who you are and may end up following you as well. This will help you in building a strong community of artists while you grow an art page on Instagram.

Spice up those hashtags

Although we urge you to utilize hashtags that bode well with your posts, that doesn’t imply that on the off chance that you post a photograph of a sculpture, every one of the 30 hashtags you use must be explicitly about sculptures. Artwork photographs can incorporate hashtags about workmanship, inventiveness, motivation, being a craftsman, where you are based, selling work, or even commissions if you offer them! Blend and match them depending on the thing you’re posting about.

What’s more, try to distinguish your hashtags when you post about shows, media highlights, works in advancement, and the sky is the limit from there. Make hashtag blocks for every one of these situations (or download our rundown below to utilize as models!) and save them in your notes.

Photo via Unsplash

Instances of approaches to fluctuate your hashtags:

Medium: #sculptors #collageartistsoninstagram

Area: #seattleartist #londonartists

Craftsmen: #womenartists #artistsofcolor

Style: #abstractartists #expressionistart

Shading: #ihavethisthingwithpink #colorpassionjoy

Materials: #workonpaper #oilpaintings

Subject: #petportraits #landscapeartists

Try to get featured on well-known art sharing pages

Instagram has several pages that provide a boosting platform for growing artists and their artworks. Try to search for a good and relevant art sharing page that accepts humble requests to feature your art with credits given to you on their page. Many such pages may provide free service but there might be some that require payment. If you are going for a page that takes money for featuring your art, see how many followers they have and what type of audience engagement they get. Try to see how many likes and comments they receive on their featured posts. Remember, audience engagement rather than the number of followers matters the most.

Conclusion

These are a few ways that will help you to grow an art page on Instagram. There are many other ways as well, but these are some of the most effective and widely used methods in the process. Once you investigate a bit further, you’ll be astounded at the number of artwork pages that have more modest followings with authentic followers but have created higher engagement and higher benefits with their audience than others. Additionally, more than just followers, this is a way to construct a community of companions around you; friends and fans who love what you are doing and are eager to see where you’ll be going in this art venture of yours.

Tips for not getting lost among competitors while finding your own style and audience

I have often wondered: What is an artist? No, not an artist only by name, but by his whole being.

The artist’s position in society is often uncertain. According to Artsy, in past centuries, an artist was a poor and unrestricted man, hardly understood by those around him, but always there at the events of wealthy people to charm them. Today’s artist has adapted to society, more or less.

First, the role of an artist in a society is to inspire. A person gifted in music, theater, or painting catches the attention of the public through their ability to turn the everyday into something beautiful and inspiring. More practical people, or perhaps those with less vision, are looking for an artist in the moments when they feel the need to relax and feed their souls with something different, something that takes them outside of their own reality.

Secondly, the purpose of an artist is to beautify a society whose interests are pragmatic and focused on money, progress in the workplace, and social position. In a mixture of interests and small battles for social benefit, the artist is a beautiful character that lives for others and that benefits from delivering joy to his fellow citizens.

Social Media Activity

Today, either we want to accept this aspect of the artist or not. If we do, one of the places we can find the artist is online delving into the social media aspects of our culture. Today, social networks play an extremely important role in our lives and that’s a reality of the times we live in. Social involvement and everything related to communication and human interaction can be uncovered in news, articles, blogs, and vlogs.

Here’s some advice to consider for your social networks — taken from the perspective of no one being in control of the scenario, and everyone experiencing something different.

Feed the content monster!

Use an editorial calendar to manage content for the pages you manage: Google Docs, HubSpot, Buffer, Social Sprout, or Hootsuite.

Don’t know what to post about your specialty today?

You will definitely find something interesting on Buffer, Feedly, Futurity, Alltop, Reddit, TED, or Smart Brief.

Take advantage of any special day!

Is it a holiday, was there an earthquake last night or did Brad Pitt divorce? Get your post ready based on these current event topics.

Start to boost your value!

Good things come in four forms: information, analysis, support, and entertainment. Just test the right combination for your business.

Be active!

When was the last time you posted? Three days ago?! Try to post something every day and then track how your page progresses.

Be graphic, easy to find, and precisely structured!

Use free photo or video content-generating tools for social media to help you be easily followed by people and at the same time make it easier for you to organize your posts.

Always:

Integrate the posts in your blog/vlog

Don’t forget about YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn

Create a database of subscribers

Remember to reply to the messages promptly

Don’t request straight away for people to follow you

Don’t swear

Remember you are not a guru

Use statistics for Facebook pages

Interact with the competition’s Facebook pages

Bring in a call to action

Find ways to relaunch yourself in the market

Instagram – learn it, get used to it, master it!

Instagram – the power app

Even though I mentioned Instagram a couple of times above, let’s enlarge the concept because this is one of the most popular platforms used by artists. So, let’s find out why and how you can turn Instagram into the only app that you really need for your art!

Let’s start by exploring what # means on Instagram and what #s are the most helpful. The development of social media has led to the appearance of hashtags. They are keywords that have the # sign in front of them. But what is their role on Instagram?

The goal of hashtags is to group content that addresses the same topic. For example, the hashtag: #marble or the hashtag: #onlineconcert can group all posts made, based on the existing content posted on Instagram with that hashtag at a particular moment. However, both of these examples are considered general hashtags and do not build attention for someone who wants to become visible to a large audience. Also, the competition for these two general hashtags is going to be very high and it will be difficult to reach a top 10 post with those hashtags.

That’s why my favorites are specific hashtags. Their advantage is that they come with a low volume of competitiveness and offer you the opportunity to enter into a top post position. Of course, you also need to take into consideration the type of audience you want to attract with your Instagram profile.

We are all free to choose how we use Instagram, but when you want to grow a community, it is important to choose a niche (a domain) on which you want to work. Then make your own list of hashtags relevant to the content you want to share on Instagram.

What you need to know about IGTV and Insta-Stories

IGTV is a stand-alone app but is also a dedicated section in the Instagram app. It is a platform launched by Instagram for the distribution of longer videos, designed to function as a TV channel. Functionally, IGTV is Instagram’s attempt to rival YouTube and Snapchat Discover. IGTV offers you the opportunity to add an external link in the description of the video guiding people to watch your video content.

Instagram Story is another feature of the Instagram platform that allows you to connect with your audience through videos, photos, text, drawings, and music. These posts are available in chronological order for your followers for 24 hours. Also, if you have over 10K followers, through the stories posted on Instagram, you can send your audience to an external link. This feature is known as Swipe Up and allows you to gain the attention of your followers and lead them to your desired outcome.

Conclusion

So, in the end, social media may not be the ultimate key to guarantee triumph for all those who try it, but you’ve got the tips and tricks that can help you build your social audience.

Artists today have the opportunity to connect to their audience using social media. While the most important thing for an artist is the process of creation, it’s also important that the work reaches the desired audience. This is why artists use social media to engage with people who admire their art.

But, what happens if you fail to get the people to engage? In that case, you need to improve your social media strategy. Here are 6 tips to help you as an artist engage your social media audience.

Let’s take a closer look.

1. Share The Process of Creation

People who follow you on social media already admire your work. If you want to give them something special to truly enjoy, show them how you work. “Behind the scenes” of creating a piece of art will make people feel:

special

included

invited into your world

In addition, they’ll feel like they’re getting to know you and your art better. Share videos or images of how you create a piece of art from beginning to end. Try a time-lapse video for extra excitement and fun.

2. Story Behind the Work

Storytelling is another strong tool artists can use to engage their social media audience. It implies sharing the story behind the piece of art and telling people about:

the inspiration to create it

its true meaning

the secrets it holds

the reason you made it

Once again, you’ll be letting people step into your world and give them a reason to connect to you and your work. This will inspire them to comment, share, like, and communicate with you more freely.

3. Live Videos

Everyone would love to have a face-to-face meeting with their favorite artist. Luckily, social media gives you the chance to connect to your followers using live videos. Live videos can be perfect for increasing engagement. All you have to do is:

announce it in advance

set a goal or purpose of the session

invite people to join you

You can discuss your upcoming events, talk about your latest work, and answer questions from followers. This will bring you even closer to them and help you create a stronger bond with them. Therefore, use live videos whenever you have a good reason to do so.

4. Master Classes

Your audience isn’t only made up of people who love and appreciate art as viewers. There are those who are artists as well, and look up to you or see you as a role model. To increase engagement with that part of your audience, you might think about offering educational content such as masterclasses. Make an IGTV, Facebook, or YouTube video and teach them about:

improving their painting

being more confident with their art

different techniques

quality art equipment and tools

anything they’d enjoy

These online workshops and training can be extremely valuable to your followers. They’ll be able to learn from you and advance as artists themselves. And in the process, you’ve made them even more loyal to you.

5. Promote Your Work

Your work is what makes you the artist you are. Social media serves as a space where you get to promote your work and show it to the world online. Presenting your work is what will get your followers engaged. All you need to do is:

post images and videos of your latest work

ask for feedback

read the comments and answer them

Make sure that you truly embrace what your followers are telling you and pay attention to their perception of your work.

6. Be Social

Finally, there’s one last tip we want to share with you and it’s a big one. In order to get your followers to engage with you more, you need to reciprocate. They need to see how social, interested, and open for communication you are. And any time you are communicating, make sure that everything you write or post is proofread and accurate. That means that you should:

answer their messages

respond to their comments

thank them for their support

respond to every action they make

This way, you’re showing them that you welcome their engagement and, in turn, you inspire them to keep up the same way.

Social networks have become a business tool, and their visual capabilities have become a great chance for artists to connect with their potential fans. And perhaps social networks, especially Instagram, can be the best place to begin your professional development and start earning an income from your art. However, you need to make sure that your posts not only consist of a single image, but they are also interesting, engaging, searchable and selling. In this article, we will figure out how to do this.

Decide on a Purpose

In order to sell your art on social networks, you don’t have to focus on sales in each post. In fact, you shouldn’t do this. At the same time, art is about the spiritual, emotional component, and only then about money. Too much marketing, obsession, or constant attempts to sell will not please your target audience.

Therefore, you need to keep a balance and follow the logic of the sales funnel — and let your relationship with subscribers develop gradually. It also makes sense to create personal posts, show your personality, create welcome posts for every thousand new subscribers, share ideas and even sneak peeks of an artist’s highly anticipated unfinished work. Then your social profile will be a place for fans to watch the range and development of the art, artists, and your point of view, not just about sales.

Provide a Background

Do you still remember learning in high school the key elements for writing an essay? Well, writing a post for a social network also has certain key elements and recommended methods. Starting your post, it makes sense to familiarize readers with the theme of the artwork you are showing, provide them with brief background information. In other words, you need to make a first impression — and at that moment your subscribers will decide whether to continue reading your post and learning about this artwork.

Tell a Story

Storytelling is a marketing technique. Since our goal is to sell paintings, we can absolutely use a story to work in your favor. Tell the story of the artwork. Describe the artist’s inspiration, theme, difficulties encountered, and emotions experienced when creating it. In other words, everything that relates to the art and can be turned into an interesting story suitable for creating a selling post for social networks.

Evoke Emotions and Draw the Picture With Your Words

You are not selling a physical object — you are selling emotions. This is true for any product, but for art, it is almost a guarantee of successful sales. After all, art is actually about emotions, feelings, experiences, and the inner world. And when a potential buyer understands that the artwork portrays his emotions, he makes a decision about the purchase. Each of us subconsciously wants to surround ourselves with things that are close to our spirit and inner world. Show the inner world of the artwork with words — let everything unsaid in the picture become clear in your post. And it will resonate in the hearts of your subscribers.

Relate the Art to Something Actively Discussed and Essential

This is also a marketing ploy that successfully works on social networks. You need to provoke a discussion and thereby increase user engagement. Therefore, if it is possible, then you should find a way to combine the work of art and any hot, discussed and controversial topic. Since all ideas implemented in art come from modern realities (or utopian fantasies based on them), then most likely it will not be difficult to find the relationship between the artwork and something that can get users thinking and posting.

And what’s more, you need to invite subscribers to share their opinions with a call to action. Sometimes even a simple phrase like “What do you think about this? Share in the comments” may trigger a wave of discussions.

Create a Catchy Headline

You don’t necessarily need a headline for Instagram, but most likely you will need it for Facebook and Twitter to promote posts on your site. And by the way, Twitter with its 140 characters is the perfect place to practice creating attractive headlines. There is no universal advice — practice shows that something controversial and hot (yes, by analogy with the previous paragraph) is of the greatest concern. Plus, you need to use the correct and popular hashtags, but we’ll talk more about this later.

Pay Attention to the Photo Quality One More Time

It is always good to use a photograph of the artwork that is high-quality and attractive. Practice taking attractive photos and use a photo editor if the desired result cannot be achieved given the capabilities of the camera or smartphone.

In addition, you definitely need to present a single style for the artist in the social profile. This is especially important for Instagram because here the visual perception of the profile as a whole plays a very important role. In general, if the artist adheres to one style in the art, then posting that style on social networks will not be difficult.

Show How the Art Fits Different Interiors

Besides showing the art as a finished piece, it also makes sense to show how the work fits into different interiors. This takes a bit of planning, but worth the outcome. The first thing to do is to understand where the target audience will place the work. Will they hang it on the wall in the bedroom? Or is it more suitable for business spaces, night clubs, hotels, or restaurants? Find the answer to this basic question and show your followers images of how the artwork looks in multiple settings.

Use the Right Hashtags

Social media hashtags also work like keywords in search engine optimization. Therefore, in order for your posts to be visible, and to constantly receive an influx of new subscribers, you need to use the hashtags correctly. Here is a workable strategy.

You definitely need to use your brand hashtag to create the right associations and increase the recognition of your gallery, your artists, and their work. You need to use some common hashtags to increase your reach, such as #art, #modernart, #streetart, #artforsale.

Plus, add another three to five hashtags that are very specific. Do some research before choosing them. We recommend using hashtags that display the name of the artwork, its main theme, a social component, a controversial or hot topic to engage users, for example, #abortion, #womenrights, #ecology.

Add a Link

And of course, be sure to add links to your website, blog or online store. If you do everything right, your site will work as an auxiliary tool to your social networks. And don’t forget to promote and advertise your posts, engage users through contests and quizzes, and work with influencers.

Get started and see what you can accomplish using social media as a tool to drive your sales.

Social media has changed the way we perceive, appreciate and sell art. Some years ago, success as an artist was measured depending on how many works of art were exhibited in galleries. Today, social media has changed this significantly.

As an artist, you can use social media to validate your work, by the number of endorsements from your followers and the quality of your work. Social media offers an artist the possibility of going right to their target audience and showing their work. Artists can even sell their art online and skip galleries and concentrate solely on social media.

Artists using social media have the opportunity of sharing the special techniques they use in their art. They also can become known by other artists and galleries, creating a base for future opportunities. They can also become popular among art lovers who can see their art and learn the artist’s story, all by just sitting at their computer.

Take a look at social media. Use it as a tool to achieve your goals. Find the artists and art industry on social media that inspire you and follow them. Here are several impressive and inspiring artists and art business influencers to add to your list of people to follow this year.

1. Bansky (@bansky)

Almost everyone has heard of Bansky, but no one really knows who he is. He has made himself known with his artwork that makes a political, social, or environmental statement. He makes a statement or proves a point by creating art on public properties, becoming instantly famous, causing conversation, and inspiring artists worldwide.

Everyone should follow Bansky. He is a source of inspiration for artists, as well as art curators and art galleries. Bansky is always looking to prove something, doing everything necessary to succeed. Remember his tableau “Balloon Girl” which shredded into pieces after it was bought at an auction?

If you want to share your art gallery with the world digitally, you need a platform to do so. In a social media dense world, it can be difficult to narrow down the right site for you. Instagram is one of the best visual platforms out there, with its user-friendly features, photo editing capabilities, and not to mention, millions of users, it’s the perfect application to showcase your work.

Now that you have picked the platform, you need to create a strategy that will increase your audience. Here are nine steps to follow to make your art gallery marketing strategy a masterpiece.

1. It’s a journey not a destination

You want to document the process of what goes into your art gallery or the art itself. To do this, take pictures of the journey. It can be progress pictures or a time-lapse from start to finish. Your audience will enjoy seeing the process as it adds a human aspect.

Your marketing strategy needs to incorporate a variety of images. Yes, you want to post photos of your finished product, but add in pictures of the process as well, your audience will appreciate the work behind your final product.

2. Track your audience engagement

Engagement on Instagram is measured by likes, comments, and shares. Even if you post regularly, which is vital, you’ll notice a difference in engagement within your posts. The Instagram algorithm is ever-changing so you’ll want to develop a community within your profile to assure your posts will be seen by your followers. The best way to build a community is to follow people, and engage with your followers by liking and commenting on their posts and replying to comments on your own posts.

You do not need tangible incentives, like free products, to engage followers. They are following you for the potential content you will share, so make sure it is relatable, unique, and true to your brand. Instagram also allows you to take your creativity further by captioning your images. Use humor, history, or personal stories to captivate your audience, and don’t forget to include hashtags!

You can try and facilitate a conversation on your Instagram picture, as well. There are many ways to get people liking, sharing, and commenting on your posts. Make sure to pick one and watch your engagement soar.

3. Your Instagram art gallery feed should look cohesive

Luckily with an art gallery, you will and should have a lot of images to choose from. It is essential that your Instagram feed looks professional, elegant, and memorable when someone visits your profile. Use filters, plan your content, and use different apps to spruce up your feed.

You also want to make sure that the content on your feed is well written and proofread. Try tools like Best Writing Services, Thesis Writing Service, and State Of Writing to ensure your posts are ready for the masses.

4. Always improve through analysis

Pay attention to your competitors on Instagram. There will always be accounts with more followers, but that does not necessarily mean they have strong engagement. Analyze your competition, take note of what you like (and dislike) about their accounts and see what you can improve on your own end.

Once you figure out what works, try and incorporate it into your posts. That is not to say steal their ideas, especially if it is attached to their brand. However, you may find strategies that work well for them. For example, you may discover that quoting a famous author every other post is exciting for your audience. Improve your profile by utilizing the explore section to examine other pages on Instagram.

5. High-quality content

This one is a no-brainer. Try to take the highest quality photos you can. That doesn’t mean the highest pixel either. Pay attention to the borders of your photo, and the angles, among other things.

Clive Kutter, an Instagram expert from Academized and UK Services Reviews, says, “if you are serious about producing the highest quality photos, you may want to use a software program. There are so many out there for free, or you can pay for a premium one.”

6. Using proper tags

Make sure you are using hashtags on every post. You want to make sure the hashtags are relevant to what you are posting. If you use random ones, then Instagram’s algorithm will pick up on that, and it may affect your performance.

For example, if you have a painting of flowers, do not hashtag the word beach.

If you need help figuring out what hashtags to use, take a look at what your competitors are using. Find out what hashtags get the most engagement and stick with them.

7. Using social influencers and endorsers

Instagram influencers are easy to find. In the last few years, the number of social influencers has skyrocketed. Research and find a social influencer that enjoys art. Instagram allows you to direct message profiles, making it easy to develop relationships with influencers. It may cost a bit, but it may be the best way for you to get your brand exposed to a vast audience quickly.

8. Sharing other people’s work

Support other artists or galleries in your social network. Find someone you admire, it could be a friend or an inspiration and share their work with your following. In return, they may share your work to their audience. Seeing men and women support each other on a social platform shows your followers that you are connected in your community and care about the success of fellow artists.

David Green, a social media manager from Student Writing Services and Essayroo, offers some advice, “you can also go out of your niche and find someone that has a page you like. If you share their things, they may share yours as well. If they share yours, you may pick up new audience members you may have never gotten.”

9. Use Instagram Stories

Instagram has an impressive feature called Stories. You can share a picture or video through Stories and they will remain on your profile for 24 hours. This is a great way to engage your audience. Stories allow you to take videos, so get creative! Show your audience a new piece you are working on, talk about your inspiration behind it, and utilize the features within stories to get feedback on your work. This is an awesome way to humanize your page and elevate your content. By exposing your personality, it will allow your followers to get to know you, which could lead to higher engagement.
