World Wide Art began in 2006 with a simple approach of printing an art book presenting the work of noteworthy artists from all over the world. Noteworthy meaning original, with an element of inspiration, vision, originality; plus mastery in the artist’s given medium. Artavita is the online forum for these same artists to be seen and collected. With art that is continually new and fresh from both emerging and established artists, the Artavita World Wide Art curated exhibitions are a must-see at international art fairs.

His paintings reflect a tranquil happy mood.

Leticia Herrera is a prize-winning and published Mexican-American artist who seeks to explore what it means to be human in her art. She was born in Mexico City and immigrated to the USA in 2007. Painting mostly with oils, she masterfully captures perspective in her pieces. Leticia refers to the three dimensional oil impastos figures as “walkers”.

Herrera is an experienced artist with works in private collections worldwide. She has shown her work internationally from Mexico to Italy to Spain and the United States. Herrera is a member of several Arts Organizations and has served on the board of Directors for The visual Arts Guild of Frisco.

Walker Series

“I believe we are all walkers of life. We are all pursuers of the magic of Light, and there is a big possibility we all might be heading toward the same destiny that in the end will unite us all. Yes, we all come from different cultures and backgrounds, of unique exuberant colors and experiences. Yet, we all are humans, and we belong to the same beautiful and amazing world.

In my art, I represent that trajectory through my walkers; they represent each of us in our journey in Life. They are searchers of beautiful emotions; they are travelers of the universe and the world. Through love, passion, faith, kindness, dreams, and vulnerability. They are catchers of dreams; they are explorers of aspirations, searchers of unity, and of freedom.

My art is an encounter of human vulnerability and truthful hope. Always in a quest but never alone. In my paintings, I am trying to transport you to those places of my imagination where we often find ourselves. I want to touch your soul, open your heart, and invite you to walk always with the light you are meant to find.” – Leticia.

Leticia Herrera will be exhibiting at Booth 134 September 16-18, 2022 at Artexpo Dallas. Tickets are available here.

Artexpo New York 2022 is back on April 7-10 at Pier 36. Here at Art Business News, we’ll be highlighting this year’s Spotlight Artists, showcasing each artists’ unique style and creative process.

John Dowling will be showing several pieces from his “A Miracle In The Making” collection, including two large 60” x 78” abstract pieces surface mounted on acrylic. His digital paintings are best observed in larger sizes, although the smaller formats are also exceptionally striking. However to truly understand Dowling’s vision he prefers to share them in the larger formats. Another interesting facet of Dowling’s vision is that the pieces are meant to be viewed both as individual works and also as montages of dozens, hundreds, even thousands of works that then form a distinctly new image. When complete, they can measure hundreds of feet in length and width for use in large arenas, atriums, and permanent grande installations.

Dowling’s odyssey began in the ’80s. While recovering from a devastating illness he spent time painting his photos on his laptop as art therapy. Dowling was and is a preeminent photojournalist and fine art photographer and has photographed countless celebrities, models, politicians, executives, wildlife, landscapes and nature, high-profile events, and life in general. Often Dowling would walk daily marathons to grow new arteries as he was born with a genetic mutation in his liver that destroys them. He is lucky to be alive and looking forward after 30 years of fighting the effects of this mutation to the cure that was just announced and will be available sometime in the next year.

During his days working with film and in traditional darkrooms Dowling experimented obsessively with multiple exposure photography and montages. Years later while recovering from those grueling marathons and surgeries Dowling began to photo-retouch old photographs from his family albums and friends’ ancestry photos that were ripped and torn. Later he would superimpose many digital images taking the most attractive portion of each shot to create a master print comprised of many photographs to create one world-class portrait. As Dowling’s retouching and compositing became more and more elaborate he started to paint his photographs with abstract textures and combine images to create illusions.

What makes Dowling’s work so unique is his extensive use of layers that cause each viewer to have different perceptions of what they see. A unique technique of leading the viewer to have false affirmations of what they see, as well as challenging the human conscious mind to see what actually exists. The actual term for this psychological effect is scotomization. Dowling relies heavily on this illusionistic technique and has taken it to a level rarely if ever seen in the art industry both historically and presently. These shapes, patterns, and illusions often lead to the viewer working to find the objects in his pieces and to moments where the observer has a “eureka moment” or epiphany.

Lunatic Hitchhiker copyright John Joseph Dowling Jr

Today, collectors are retaining Dowling to create and curate leased pieces to form galleries in their homes and offices that can change seasonally, or permanently for those who invest in Dowling’s art. In the early days Dowling’s museum-quality prints sold for a few thousand dollars, however, within a year, offers on Dowling’s abstract pieces increased to well over $5000 on editions of 100. Now Dowling is receiving offers for well over $7500. Larger 1 of 1 editions is selling for over $150,000. In addition, each piece in his collection has a master NFT that is valued at between $150,000 and $349,000. There are 218 individual works of art in Dowling’s “A Miracle In The Making” fine art collection, his first collection to be released since the ’80s. He is already receiving offers on the entire collection which includes reproduction rights. Dowling will retain author rights.

From his unusual use of colors, Will creates a psychological narrative within each piece depicting his journey in life. Once you follow Schmahl, you will find a recognizable style of abstract paintings that have a way of making you feel something. Whether it’s a sense of pain, a burst of energy, or a memory that is relatable. His works have the ability to transform a room and get you excited about art.

End to End, E2E is a Graffiti & Street Art term that refers to a huge graffiti piece that covers a wall from one end to the other. On a subway train, it refers to a piece that covers the entire train, end to end. The street abbreviation is E2E.

This lexicon has been the inspiration behind End to End Gallery in our Downtown Hollywood Florida Showroom. We have curated an End to End space featuring a curated collection of modern and urban contemporary art from Jeremiah’s personal collection that truly embodies the meaning of the term and creates a unique viewing experience. Placing works from our personal collection allows the works to be viewed publicly and allows us to educate and share our passion for the works within the collection.

Gregory Bedford – Bedford Fine Art – Booth 237

Gregory Bedford’s wide sphere of life experiences fosters his creativity and design, all of which are major elements in his abstract paintings. This multi-talented artist began abstract collage painting during his breaks from acting. Painting provided Bedford with another outlet to release his creative energy, as well as to experience alternative methods for his creative process. His passion for the arts began as a ten-year-old. His introduction into stage and the arts came naturally: his father was an art teacher for 30 years. A method actor by trade, he becomes one with his work not only in the moment on stage or in film but also in his art studio.

Mikheil & George Mikaberidze – Mikheil & George Family Art – Booth S903

A father and son art team formerly from Tbilisi, Georgia, now reside and create their works in Brooklyn, New York. They have participated in various international exhibitions in Germany, Belgium, Netherlands and USA. The art exudes a sense of hidden depth in character masked by an almost childish playfulness in color and theme.

Picardo is a multidisciplinary Afro-Caribbean artist based in Michigan, whose work makes a statement about the mystic order of existence and its relationship to everyday life. Using a combination of oil and acrylic, Picardo portrays figures using color to entrance viewers, drawing them into a world of music and dance. He envisions his paintings serving as a reminder of all that humanity is capable of being, inspiring viewers to strive toward a better self and better world.

Redwood Media has selected Madavor to publish this long-standing title

This February, Madavor Media and Redwood Media Group joined forces to publish Art Business News, a leader in art industry publications since 1977. The magazine joins a family of special-interest and niche publications at Boston-based Madavor Media.

Art Business News provides readers with comprehensive coverage of market news, events and trade shows. It features in-depth interviews with leading industry figures and emerging artists–more than 20,000 of them every quarter. Artists, collectors, business professionals and art enthusiasts turn to Art Business News for the latest trends in the market. The magazine’s website attracts an additional 35,000 readers from around the globe.

“This publication is about today’s most cutting-edge artists, after all, and we want to ensure that each issue is a work of art in itself,” said Eric Smith, publisher of Art Business News and CEO of Artexpo.

The first issue of this collaboration will be released in spring of 2013, with special distribution at the March Artexpo New York, the world’s largest fine-arts trade show. “It’s the business of art and the art of business,” said Art Buisness News editor, Terrence Lynch. “Beautiful and fascinating.”

“We’re very excited to partner with Redwood Media and to continue the work of the magazine by delivering insightful and engaging content to the art industry,” said Susan Fitzgerald, vice president of Madavor Media.

Art Business News will be published alongside Madavor’s array of enthusiast media publications, which include The Writer, FOAM, JazzTimes, Gluten-Free Living, Volleyball, Inside Arts, BirdWatching, International Figure Skating and Golf Getaways.
