Australia-based artist Sapphire Frater creates surrealist paintings with strong dreamlike imagery and an integral spiritual current. She is currently working on a series of paintings titled “Ceres of Twelve Sonnets,” in which each painting is a sonnet. Sapphire has a great love for her work and is passionate in its application.
“The Madonna’s Marriage” depicts “alchemical wedding, sacred solitude and bliss,” Frater says. “It is the Madonna’s unity with God. It also depicts life forming in the womb.”
