Dage paints not with a traditional brush, but with a stick dipped in paint. She calls this technique “intentional dripping,” a practice that allows her to combine her conscious direction as an artist with the chaotic nature of the paint as it falls to the canvas.
“I want my work to portray the roles played by the intentional and the unpredictable, uncontrollable aspect of life within the creative process,” she said.
Dage’s work often features the female form or scenes of trees and nature.
